BACKGROUND
The owner and founder of Athena Delta is John Clifford, MBA, CILT, CIPD, CIM who has spent over 20 years in the parcels industry at operational level through to director and has implemented strategic change programmes including network optimisation; organisation design; management coaching; outsourcing; subcontractor optimisation; and SAP HR process design. Experience of Prince 2 and SixSigma methodologies also form part of John’s skill- set and experience.
The special aspect that Athena Delta brings is encompassed in the name of the company – Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and war, and Delta, the symbol for change. It is a well-known fact that most change programmes fail. At Athena Delta we believe that the main causes for the failure are built in at the beginning of the process, and through the application of wisdom, development of a battle plan and structured communication and explanation of the change, this can be avoided, thus dramatically increasing the chances of success. This is why we spend extra time understanding the strategic intent of the organisation, so that we can then translate that into achievable and understandable activities to undertake with those undergoing change.
